Sunday Services
Sunday mornings
Our weekly service is on Sunday morning at 10.45. We meet together to worship God and seek His presence together through prayers, teaching, song, breaking of bread and fellowship.
Services are varied with different speakers, both from our own congregation and guests from other churches and organisations. There is a small band to lead the worship songs and hymns, both modern and traditional, prayers are mainly extemporary and informal but sometimes written prayers are used. The breaking of bread or communion is celebrated twice monthly and there’s opportunity to request prayers for others or oneself. Whilst the services have structure they are informal and friendly, usually finishing by noon and followed by tea, coffee and sometimes cake.
Children's ministry
At the moment we have no specific work with children, although children are always welcomed. We are plenty of toys for younger ones at the back of church and we have “grab bags” for the older ones, to keep them engaged. We try to involve them all whenever we can. We would like to do more for and with them.
Other meetings and activities
There is a regular prayer meeting every Thursday morning in church between 10 and 11.30.
We take understanding the bible seriously and have group bible studies periodically. We are happy to discuss its interpretation, our faith & doctrine and any other issues, anytime.
We also organise social outings and lunches, when we can share our spiritual journeys, encouraging and caring for each other. We are part of each others lives but not in an intrusive way.
At different times of the year we have special services to celebrate Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, harvest, missions etc.
We are an active part of the local churches together association, which meet at various times throughout the year. On Good Friday we join the walk of witness around the churches of Lowton.
